Tamara Tansykkuzhina Women World Champion 2011

After a final sprint with Matrena Nogovitsyna (left), Tamara Tansykkuzhina (middle) came out as the winner. In the last round, Tansykkuzhina drew against Viktoriya Motrichko, but Nogovitsyna did not find a winning plan against Natalia Sadowska and even arrived in a very disadvantageous position. The Yakutian talent managed to reach safe ground but as a result, she finished with 19 points. Tansykkuhzina with the same number of points scored one win more and hence is the Women World Champion 2011! Ukraines national pride Viktoriya Motrichko after a rocket start lost against Nogovitsyna and Fedorovich and won the bronze medal with 17 points.

Opening Ceremony

FMJD president Harry Otten attended the opening ceremony. On the picture Otten poses with player Natalia Sadowska from Poland and EDC board member Leczek Petlicki amidst young Ukrainian dancing talents who gave a beautiful performance.



On the melody of the FMJD hymn, players, officials and spectators cross the road to the park where the opening ceremony took place.
